RS PRO 200 VA Isolation Transformer, 230 V AC
This isolation transformer from RS PRO is suitable for low voltage, industrial workshop applications. It's used to protect power tool users from shock as it isolates these devices from the mains power supply.
The unit has a robust steel enclosure with an IP22 (ingress protection) rating, meaning it protects your fingers and water droplets from getting in accidentally. It's a wall-mounting type, so it's suitable to use in fixed applications.
This transformer meets BS EN 61558-1 (British Standard European Norm) safety requirements for transformers and power supplies. It's fully compliant with the regulations for reduced low voltage (ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 Electrostatic Control Standards), so there's less risk of electric shock as it has a lower voltage between its live conductors and the earth.
