Eaton Instantaneous RCD, 16 A, Type C - PKNM series - PKNM-16/1N/C/003-MW

Looking for a safeguard against electrical shocks and fire outbreaks? Turn to Eaton's RCD (residual current device) to automatically interrupt current flow when there are faults on electrical installations. The device monitors incoming and outgoing flows and trips a system when it detects an imbalance that might suggest a faulty connection or wiring. Install this device in applications with exposed wires or where overheating or earthing issues could occur. You can use it in fuse boxes in your home and industrial environments.

• Instantaneous break time immediately disconnects power supply

• DIN rail mounting style for space-saving and safe installation

• Screw terminal contact type to ensure secure fastenings and uninterrupted conductivity

• Trip sensitivity of 30 mA prevents equipment damage and electrocution

Why do I need to install an RCD?

RCDs provide protection against electric shocks and fire outbreaks when fuses and circuit breakers fail. The UK Building Regulations prescribe these devices as lifesaving safeguards.

Does the law require RCD installations in residential properties?

It's not a legal requirement to install an RCD in your home, but it's a way to safeguard your property and the people in it.
