Eaton RCD, Screw Terminals, Front Toggle Switch - PKNM Series - 236082 PKNM-10/1N/C/003-A-MW

Keep your people safe from electric shocks with this RCD from Eaton. Its type-C tripping characteristics make it suitable for protecting more powerful motors. If the current exceeds two to five times the rated load, the unit will trip and shut off the power before any damage can be done. Once you've found and rectified the fault, simply flick the toggle switch to reset the RCD and get up and running again.

Features & Benefits

• Screw terminals help you quickly make secure electrical connections
• Red and green contact position indicators let you check the status at a glance
• Single-pole plus neutral configuration means it protects both the phase and neutral conductors in single-phase loads such as lighting
• 10A current rating to protect circuits with the same input

What's the difference between an RCD and an MCB?

An RCD (residual current device) is a safety device that detects and disconnects power when it senses a leakage of current. An MCB (miniature circuit breaker) is designed to protect circuits from overcurrents and short circuits by interrupting the flow of current. While both enhance electrical safety, an RCD focuses on keeping people safe rather than protecting the circuit.
