Swann-Morton 130 mm Scalpel

Introducing a Swann-Morton acrylic scalpel handle, ergonomically designed and offers excellent control grip. Swann-Morton handles and blades are popular in surgical and scale modelling applications where intricate cuts, material removal and attention to detail is important.

These acrylics scalpel handles are lightweight with a large gripping area enabling directional pressure.

It is vitally important to follow the correct procedure when attaching a blade to keep yourself safe. When attaching the blade you should grip the blade with needle holders away from the cutting edge. Hold the handle with your other hand with the bayonet facing upwards. Align the slot in the blade with the handle and slide the blade back until you hear an audible click.

To remove the surgical blade hold the handle in one hand with the blade facing downwards, grip the blade with needle holder in the other opposite hand at the back edge of the blade then lift and slide the handle away.
