Fluke Loop Calibrator, ±0.015% Accuracy, 0.001mA Resolution - FLUKE 707

This loop calibrator is a handheld tool for calibration, repair and maintenance of current loops in industrial control and instrumentation environments. It supports sourcing, simulating and measuring mA signals, offers a 24V loop supply with simultaneous current measurement, and provides a fast, one-handed user Interface for loop checks under typical plant conditions.

Features & Benefits

• 0.015% accuracy delivers precise current measurements and sourcing
• 0.001 mA resolution enables fine adjustment and diagnostics
• Selectable step or ramp outputs supports functional transmitter testing
• 24V loop supply with 250 Ω HART resistor facilitates live loop power and HART devices
• Simultaneous mA and % of span display speeds calibration verification
• Battery powered operation yields 18 h typical runtime for field shifts

Applications

• Suitable for commissioning and calibration of 4–20 mA control loops
• Ideal for field maintenance of transmitters and control valves
• Used with PLC analogue outputs to verify voltage and current signals
• Can be used for HART loop checks that require loop power and resistor
• Suitable for troubleshooting process loops in manufacturing plants

What battery types are required and how quickly can they be changed?

It uses alkaline 9V batteries and features a removable battery door for Rapid replacement without tools.

What environmental conditions can it operate in?

It functions between −10 °C and 55 °C and tolerates relative humidity up to 95% at lower temperatures with reduced ratings at higher temperatures.

How much voltage can it measure and what safety rating applies?

It measures 0V dc to 28V dc for loop checks and conforms to a 30V safety category for low-voltage measurement tasks.

What physical protection and portability features assist field use?

The instrument is lightweight at 224 g and supplied in a Compact case with a protective holster for transport and on-site handling.
