Snap limit switches operate like sensors, making or breaking electrical connections when making contact. They're electromechanical detection devices that are used to count passing objects. Using springs to open and shut connections, they can quickly change the direction of power between two devices.

This limit switch from the RS PRO range is easy to use and comes with a handy screw terminal and a roller plunger actuator. It's made from durable zinc alloy to protect it from magnetic disturbances. Its standardised dimension also means it complies with safety standards EN 50047 and EN 50041. The casing is IP66 compliant and the double-insulated plastic casing is built to IP65 standard, so it will keep out dirt and is water-resistant.

These safety features make the switch particularly useful in a wide variety of industrial settings, such as acting as a tool for safety interlocks and machinery control systems.
