Honeywell Digital Hall Effect Sensor, 20mA, 3.8V DC - SS400 Series - SS443A

Measure changes in the voltage of magnetic fields with this Honeywell Hall effect sensor. For ease of installation, you can attach this component to your printed circuit board (PCB) via a through-hole and solder it securely in place. The unit uses external magnets to trigger switching or sensing without the need for direct contact. As part of the SS400 series of solid-state sensors, it has a thermally balanced integrated circuit that compensates for environmental temperature changes to provide extra accuracy.

Features & Benefits

• Wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +150°C for use in extreme environments
• Compact dimensions of 4.06 (length) x 3 (width) x 1.57mm (depth) to save space in your setup
• Protected against reverse polarity to minimise the risk of electric shock

Applications

• Computer keyboards
• Fuel gauges
• Engine ignition timing
• Tachometers
• Anti-lock braking systems

How strong a current can this sensor handle?

This sensor has a high current capacity and can operate with output currents of up to 50mA (milliamps).

What happens if power is interrupted during use?

If power is interrupted during use, the sensor's output may change state when power is restored.
