Designed to supply electricity efficiently between two circuits, this variac transformer from RS PRO has a rugged enclosed construction and is built to last. It's virtually maintenance-free and suitable for surface, floor or wall mounting using the screw terminals provided.

A silver-plated commutator gives a smooth linear output to this transformer that's free from waveform distortion. It also has in-built overload protection. The product offers good regulation, with a continuously variable AC output voltage and an overvoltage tap. A low operating torque and low magnetising current enable highly efficient operation.

This model is part of RS PRO's series of professional 'Varivolt' transformers that come in a variety of current ratings and in both single and three-phase versions. These transformers are used for audio systems, power conversions and power transmission and distribution in domestic and industrial settings. Each model has been tested to meet RS PRO's rigorous quality and safety standards.
