A durable FHDPE (foamed high-density polyethylene) material insulates the conductors to protect you from electric shocks and prevent system downtime. The external sheath is made from PVC so it has resistance to oils, moisture and abrasion and you can use it in harsh environments. As the outer jacket is also UV stable, you can safely use this cable outdoors.

What type of shielding does this data cable have?
The cable is an SF/UTP (shielded and foiled with untwisted shielded pairs) type. This means it comes with an overall Beldfoil tape shield and a braided shield with partial coverage to block EMI (electromagnetic interference) and static noise. A robust tinned copper drain wire offers additional shielding to ground irregular current, protecting you from electrical hazards.
