From our reliable RS PRO range comes these high-quality compact distribution transformers. They can step down voltage from 400 V ac to 110 V ac (UK mains voltage) for safe on-site usage.

The transformers are housed in a heavy-duty portable steel case that’s IP44 rated, meaning they’re protected from water spray. What’s more, as the transformer has centre-tapped earth connections, made by secondary windings, your risk of electrical shocks is reduced. Transporting them is also effortless thanks to their strong handles.

They’ve been rigorously tested to comply with international guidelines, conforming to the BS EN 61558 and BS EN 61558-20-23 standards. With BS EN 60309 sockets, they also meet European functional and safety requirements for industrial use. This product is well-suited for many applications, including converting voltage to a safe level for use with power tools.
