Need protection for your heavy-duty temperature probe? This thermowell from the RS PRO range is designed to do just that.

The thermowell works by sealing your thermometer from corrosive substances, meaning your temperature sensor will last longer and need less maintenance. The unit, also referred to as a thermopocket, is made from 316L high-grade stainless steel and has a pocket diameter of 11.1 mm with a 1/2 BSP (British standard pipe thread). This welded thermowell is supplied with a stainless-steel compression fitting that helps to keep the unit in place. It will fit a temperature probe with a diameter of 6 mm.

Thermowells are often used as protective barriers for temperature-sensing components. They're often found in industrial process applications such as refineries and petrochemical plants. RS PRO also stocks thermowells suitable for 3 mm diameter probes.
