The ifm electronic Muting Arm Set uses infrared light and is designed as a crossbeam muting system with two through-beam sensors. It operates on the principle of through-beam sensing. The electrical data include an operating voltage of 19.2 to 28.8 V DC and a current consumption of 120 mA (60 mA each for transmitter and receiver). It has a protection class III rating.
