The Maxim Integrated secure authenticator combines FIPS202-compliant secure hash algorithm challenge and response authentication with secured EEPROM. It provides a core set of cryptographic tools derived from integrated blocks including a SHA-3 engine. It is mainly used in medical tools/accessories authentication and calibration, accessory and peripheral secure authentication and battery authentication and charge cycle tracking.
