Eaton Arc Fault Detection Device, 2 Pole, Type B - AFDD+ Series - AFDD-16/2/B/003-A

Use this AFDD (arc fault detection device) from Eaton to keep your electrical system safe from faults and hazards. When an issue arises, the breaker detects it and disconnects the electricity. The unit contains three different circuit breakers to find different kinds of faults. Its RCD (residual current device) detects line imbalances and protects against electric shocks, while the MCB (miniature circuit breaker) prevents short circuit overloads. The AFDD is sensitive to sudden rises in current.

• LED indicator shows what kind of trip occurred

• Green-to-red switch indicators show whether the unit is on or off

• Test button for checking the device is operating correctly

How do I install this device?

Installation is straightforward – connect the neutral and line wires to the bottom of the device and the load wires to the top.

How does the LED display different faults?

In normal operation, the LED shows a green light. When you turn the switch back on after a trip, the display flashes yellow one to six times, with each number relating to a different trip cause. It identifies two types of series arc faults, a parallel arc fault, overvoltage, overheating and larger system errors.
