Honeywell TruStability® SSC Series Pressure Sensors


The TruStability® Standard Accuracy Silicon Ceramic (SSC) series are piezo-resistive silicon pressure sensors. They have have been designed to offer digital outputs for reading pressure which will be over a specified pressure and temperature range. The devices are fully calibrated during manufacture via an on-board ASIC and are compensated for sensing offset, sensitivity, temperature effects and non-linearity. Calibrated output values for pressure are updated at approximately 2 kHz. The units have been calibrated to operate within a temperature range of -20 to +85 °C and operate from a single power supply of either 3.3 or 5.0 V DC.

The range includes units for measuring differential and gauge pressure, differential versions allow application of pressure to either side of the sensing diaphragm whilst gauge versions are referenced to atmospheric pressure and provide an output proportional to pressure variations from atmosphere.

Potential applications include:

Medical - Ventilators, anaesthesia machines, spirometers, nebulizers, hospital room air pressure

Industrial - VAV (Variable Air Volume) control, static duct pressure, clogged HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) filter detection, HVAC transmitters, indoor air quality
