When you need a tough, transparent and pliable material to package food or medicines, this versatile thermoplastic polyester sheet is perfectly suited to the job. Easy to weld or vacuum form into your required shape, it offers good optical clarity and can be screen-printed for labelling.
The polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG) sheet combines the flexibility of plastic with a Shore D 78 hardness rating, so it can withstand high-impact knocks and drops. It also has good chemical resistance and 0% water absorption, protecting contents from damage from moisture, solvents, or contamination. The material retains these benefits at temperatures as low as -29°C, so it's suitable for frozen products.
The plastic sheet is FDA approved for food and drug use and is UL 94 HB certified, so it's self-extinguishing in the event of a fire. Part of the RS PRO range, this product has been thoroughly tested for consistent quality.
