RS PRO Beige Polyetheretherketone PEEK Rod, 300 mm x 10 mm Diameter
This RS PRO PEEK (polyetheretherketone) rod lets you make components that are strong and durable yet lightweight. The PEEK material is resistant to high temperatures and wear, making it a good choice for producing valve timing drives and components in high-performance applications.
The rod is useful for creating steam and water mixers as it doesn't deteriorate quickly in steam or high-pressure water environments. It's commonly used for nuclear research as it can absorb over 1000 Mrads (Megarads) of radiation without losing its mechanical properties.
