Fluke Network Cable Tester, 8h Battery Life, RJ45 Connector Type - LIQ-KIT

This network cable tester is a handheld diagnostic tool for verifying twisted-pair Ethernet cabling and Basic network connectivity in industrial and commercial installations. It combines frequency-based cable performance checks up to 10Gb/s with switch-level diagnostics and PoE verification, enabling technicians to assess cable integrity, detect wiring faults and confirm connectivity to TCP/IP resources on-site.

Features & Benefits

• Measures cable bandwidth up to 10Gb/s for pass/fail qualification
• Locates opens, shorts and distance-to-fault up to 305m
• Displays nearest switch name, IP, port and VLAN for troubleshooting
• Performs PoE load test and reports loaded voltage and power
• Stores up to 1000 test results for later export to PC software
• Generates analogue and digital tones compatible with tone probes

Applications

• Suitable for commissioning 10GBASE-T and lower Ethernet links
• Ideal for validating PoE delivery to cameras and access points
• Used for identifying miswired, split or unterminated pairs
• Can be used for switch port identification and VLAN verification
• Suitable for on-site network connectivity checks and ping tests

How is the unit powered and how long will it operate between charges?

It runs from an internal lithium-ion battery rated at 3.6V, 6400mAh, providing about 8 hours of typical use and recharging via USB-C.

What environmental range can I expect for field use?

The tester is specified to operate between 0°C and 45°C with storage down to -20°C and relative humidity allowances varying with temperature.

Which cable and connector types does it accept and test?

The test port accepts 8-pin modular plugs and supports both unshielded and screened balanced twisted-pair cabling, including 2-pair and 4-pair configurations.

What network-level diagnostics are available when connected to a switch?

It negotiates link speed and duplex, reads LLDP/CDP where available, and reports switch-advertised data rates, MAC, IP, port number and VLAN information.

How are test results documented and exported for reporting?

Results are stored on the unit and can be exported to LinkWare PC via the USB-C Interface for PDF report generation and archival.
