The STMicroelectronics evaluation board showcases a Compact and efficient converter design capable of delivering up to 3 A output current from a wide input range of 3.3 V to 36 V, with a regulated 5 V output. It is built around the DCP3603 synchronous step‑down converter, which uses enhanced Peak current control and Advanced circuitry to minimise quiescent current. With its minimal component count and small PCB footprint, the board is Ideal for applications such as major appliances, smart metering, industrial 24 V bus conversion, and general‑purpose wide Vin power supplies.
Input quiescent current as low as 85 μA for energy efficiency
Fixed switching frequency of 1 MHz for stable operation
Wide input operating voltage range from 3.3 V to 36 V

Synchronous rectification with internal compensation network for optimised performance
