Allen Bradley Mini Circuit Breaker, 10kA Breaking Capacity, 16A Current Rating - 1492-SPM2D160

Looking for reliable circuit protection? This mini circuit breaker (MCB) from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range will do the job. With its instantaneous breaking time, this component immediately cuts off power to your circuit in the event of an overload or short circuit, safeguarding both you and your equipment. It has excellent shock and vibration resistance that prevents false tripping, to effectively limit downtime and improve productivity. The unit can be used for applications with high inductive loads such as welding machines, transformers and large winding motors.

• Screw terminals for easy and time-efficient installation• Wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +55°C, for use in harsh environments• Mechanical endurance of 20,000 operations for reliable long-term performance• Compact design dimensions to fit into small enclosures• Allows installation of up to six accessories on the same circuit breaker to optimise your safety system

Standards and Certifications

• CE (Conformité Européenne)• RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)• CCC (China Compulsory Certificate)

What's the difference between a circuit breaker and a contactor?

A contactor is a simple switching device, while a circuit breaker is a protective system.

Allen Bradley 1492 SP Series Miniature Circuit Breakers – Type D

Safeguard your electrical circuits with the general purpose 1492-SPM Type D Miniature Circuit Breakers by Allen Bradley. These circuit breakers offer high performance and ensure enhanced protection for equipment.

These MCB’s have instantaneous breaking time and feature type D tripping. They are available in 1, 2 and 3 pole versions to suit your application. The 1492-SPM miniature circuit breakers are current limiting and can be easily mounted on a DIN rail. These units are also IP20 finger-safe for greater protection, and they have dual terminals for wiring and bus bar flexibility. These dependable MCB’s help to prevent downtime from nuisance tripping as they also have superior shock and vibration resistance. The 1492-SPM series allows installation of up to six accessories on the same circuit breaker so that you can optimise your safety system with ease.

Type D MCB’s are usually used for specific industrial and commercial applications with very high inductive loads and where high inrush current frequently occurs, for example with x-ray machines, large winding motors, transformers, and welding equipment. A type D MCB will trip instantly at a rate of ten to twenty-five times its rated current.
