OSRAM OSTAR Compact Series LEDs

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors’ OSTAR LED series have a variety of benefits with design flexibility for projection and lighting applications. The OSRAM OSTAR Compact has been developed to suit applications which require a high luminance output due to their pure surface emission. The OSTAR LEDs can be used for standard point-like LED lighting solutions and linear or two-dimensional designs can be produced with just a small number of the devices. Their multi-chip technology gives the OSRAM OSTAR LEDs a high brightness at the white point. With no moving parts, these devices deliver a wide colour range within a compact, robust package. The OSRAM OSTAR Compact LEDs also offer a long lifetime and a very low thermal resistance (Rth). Potential applications include Pico projectors, projection TVs, general lighting and effect lighting.

Note

Amber LEDs – Originally designed for use in automotive brake-light applications, OSRAM amber LEDs can appear red due to a high dominant wavelength value. Refer to a dominant wavelength colour chart to find your chosen LED colour.
