The Microchip High speed MOSFET driver is designed to withstand up to 5V of noise spiking of either polarity on the ground pin without damage. It can accept up to 500 mA of reverse current (either polarity) forced back into its output without damage or logic upset. All terminals are fully protected against electrostatic discharge (ESD) up to 2.0 kV (HBM) and 400V (MM). This driver can easily charge a 1800 pF gate capacitance in 20 ns with matched rise and fall times. It ensures the MOSFET's intended state remains unaffected by large transients, providing low impedance in both the 'ON' and 'OFF' states.
