RS PRO ESD Field Kit With 10 mm Stud x 2

The RS PRO ESD (electrostatic discharge) field kit lets you unpack, handle and pack electrostatic discharge sensitive (ESDS) devices with a minimum risk of static electricity damage. It works by creating a temporary EPA (electrostatic discharge protected area). You'll often find it in commercial settings, such as server rooms.

Inside this pack, there's a mat with dimensions of 600 mm (L) x 600 mm (W). There's also a wrist band and two ground cords. The straight ground cord is connected to the mat and the earth terminal of the equipment due to be serviced. The coiled ground cord is connected to the mat and the wrist band.

Like all of our RS PRO range, this ESD field kit has been tested by engineers for durability and consistency. It comes with a handy pouch for safe storage and transportation. The set is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant, so contains minimal hazardous materials. You'll find it used in laboratories and chemical-engineering environments.
