RS PRO ESD Field Kit
This field kit from our RS PRO range has all the equipment you need to turn your worktop into an effective ESD (electrostatic discharge) workstation.
When working with electronic equipment, it’s important to prevent ESD as it can impair the performance of electronic components. This kit creates a temporary ESD-protected area when assembled, allowing you to work with sensitive electronic devices without causing them any damage.
Inside the kit, there’s a durable anti-static mat which can be used as a work surface. There’s also a grounding cord, a coiled cord and adjustable wristband that work together to minimise the risk of impact from static electricity. ESD can cause metal melt, junction breakdown and oxide failure.
The kit is available in two versions – UK and European – with corresponding plugs for each. It's manufactured to EN 61350-5-1 standards, so it can be used safely in any household or workplace environment.
