Sauter Digital Leeb Hardness Tester

The Sauter HMM series digital Leeb hardness tester has an impact-resistant body. A tungsten carbide test tip is propelled by spring force against the surface to be tested, from which it rebounds. This hardness tester works by accelerating the internal bounce module against the tested item. Depending on object hardness, the kinetic energy of the module is absorbed and speed reduction is measured and converted to hardness values. The voltages are proportional to the velocities and are processed and displayed as the hardness value 'L' by the meter. This can also measure hardness in Rockwell (B & C), Vickers (HV), Brinell (HB), Shore (HSD) and tensile strength (MPa).
