Use this surge suppressor from Schneider Electric to protect sensitive electrical equipment and yourself from harm. Using the latest circuit suppressor technology, this device monitors fluctuations in power supply. If the voltage supplying your electrical appliances suddenly spikes, the inbuilt MOV (metal oxide varistor) components will safely divert these dangerous surges to ground, via the earthed terminal. This maintains productivity by preventing any unplanned downtime and ensures safety in the workplace.

What is an MOV and what does it do?


An MOV is a voltage-dependent device that has an electrical function similar to back-to-back Zener diodes. It changes from a near-open circuit to a very low-value voltage, clamping the transient voltage to a safe level. The pulse or surge is absorbed by the varistor, protecting vulnerable circuit components.
