The Microchip Bus Terminator is a 3A, high speed, linear, low VIN, double data rate, memory terminator power supply. The part is small and requires small output capacitors making it a tiny overall solution. This allows it to be conveniently placed close to the DDR memory, minimizing circuit board layout inductance which may cause excessive voltage ripple at the DDR memory.
