RS PRO Manual Wire Wrapping Tool, 30 AWG
If you need to create a durable, consistent point-to-point connection on your printed circuit boards (PCBs), use this manual wire wrapping tool from RS PRO. It enables you to twist a wire around a PCB post instead of soldering it in place.
This tool holds a size 30 American Wire Gauge (AWG) wire in a fitted slot and fits over the post on your PCB. You can then simply turn the tool until the wire is wrapped tightly and securely.
The wire wrap method creates a greater amount of contact between the wire and the post, which makes for a more efficient connection. It's also easier to repair, as you can unwrap and rewrap the wire using the same tool. This type of tool is often used to connect wires during the prototyping stage of system development.
