RS PRO Granular Water Softening Salt 10 kg

RS PRO water softener salt rapidly dissolves to produce premium quality brine for quick application and is manufactured from pure dried vacuum salt to ensure purity for soft water. Application includes domestic, commercial and industrial (can also be used in dishwashers). Water softening salt can also be used to melt ice on those frozen winter mornings.

Note Granulite salt granules are formed by crushing and sieving compacted sheets of food-grade pure dried vacuum salt. Glacia granulite is a compacted salt product with granule sizes between 2 and 6mm.

Hard water can contain magnesium, calcium and other metal cations, which can cause lime scale and soap scum. This is because in hard water, soap can be wasted mopping up calcium ions, it also binds to certain fats leaving insoluble layers on surfaces. The long term effects can be plumbing issues, machine break down, damage and staining. Water softening salt is used to remove and break down the elements that cause the above issues. Results of softening water can extend lifetime of plumbing and machinery, it also means less soap is needed for cleaning, reducing long term costs.
