LM78 series Positive Voltage Regulators, Texas Instruments
Texas Instruments offer a range of linear voltage regulators which include LM78, LM78L and the LM78M Series that are intended for fixed voltage regulation. The three Terminal positive regulators have current outputs more than 1A (LM78xx), 100 mA (LM78Lxx) and 500 mA (LM78Mxx). There is no need for external components although it is possible to adjust the voltage and current with external devices. The voltage regulators combine thermal shutdown, internal current limiting and output transistor safe-area compensation all in its own package.
Texas Instruments (TI) positive linear regulators cover a wide range of functions and tend to be used in the electronic industry. Applications include local on-card regulation, power supplies and power distribution systems.
