RS PRO 1 Phase 3.6 kVA Variac, 1 Output, 240 V, 15 A


This variac transformer is used for the efficient supply of electricity between two circuits. It's part of RS PRO's professional range of 'Varivolt' transformers that are available in single or three-phase versions and a variety of current ratings. This particular model is a single-phase, 15 amp enclosed transformer, with a rugged construction and little maintenance required.

The transformer has a silver-plated commutator for a smooth linear output without waveform distortion and built-in overload protection. Its continuously variable alternating current output voltage with overvoltage tap ensures effective regulation. It's efficient to run, with a low operating torque and low magnetising current.

These transformers can be surface-, floor- or wall-mounted, depending on your requirements, which is easy with the screw terminals supplied. Earth studs are included for earthing the product before use.

Varivolt transformers are suitable for power conversions, audio systems and power transmission and distribution in both residential and industrial settings.
