Achieving a rating of IP68 when mated, which ensures a high degree of protection against liquids and dust, this USB Type A receptacle is well suited to harsh environments.

These USB Field and RJ Field reinforced Infocom Connectors allows use of a standard USB and RJ connection in harsh environments. Standard cordsets can be inserted into metallic plugs and receptacles which will protect them from shocks, dust and fluids. There is no requirement for hazardous in-field cabling and grounding.
