RS PRO Universal Joint, Single, Plain, Bore 8 mm, 40 mm Length
These universal joints from RS PRO are an ideal choice when you want to connect rotating machinery – such as conveyors, line shafts and drive shafts – to a prime mover. They're used in cars, trucks and other vehicles to connect two shafts or rods whose axes are inclined at an angle to each other.
As a bored hub type, this joint has a round-shaped, hex-shaped or square-shaped hole and a bore of 8 mm. These plain bearing universal couplings are suitable for applications with a maximum speed of 1000 rpm and an operating angle of between 3° and 45°. You can use plain bearings with a protective gaiter to ensure smooth operation when you use this universal joint with machinery or in vehicles.
Common applications for universal joints include automotive propeller shafts, centrifugal pumps and belt conveyors.
