The Fluke Sound beacon is specially designed for tightness testing applications and is intended to be used with Fluke acoustic imagers. Operating at a 40 kHz ultrasound frequency, it offers excellent air transmission with minimal attenuation, allowing sound to escape through leak paths within enclosed spaces for effective detection. Fluke acoustic imagers can easily detect this frequency, visually pinpointing potential leak locations on the screen. When used in Beacon Mode the process becomes even simpler as the camera’s frequency filter is fixed and centered at 40 kHz for precise and consistent leak detection.
