Overall Foil-screened Multi-conductor


From RS Pro, this multi-conductor and drain wire cable is ideal for data applications. With an overall foil screen and tinned copper wire, the cable ensures effective grounding, keeping unwanted electrical noise away from the circuit. These advantages mean this foil screened cable can be used confidentially in 232 applications, as well as for computer interconnection.

The cores are insulated with PVC and wrapped in an aluminsied polyester tape, encased in a PVC outer sheath.

What are the Advantages of Foil Shielding?

Unfortunately, foil shielding it is not as durable as braided shielding, and is not suitable to high-flex applications.
