The Dormer M Machine tap with spiral point suited for through holes only. This tap has powder metallurgical HSS E with bright finish for 2.5xD through hole threading in free machining and plain carbon steel and wrought or cast aluminium and copper or copper alloys. The bright finish is used to produce more accurate and cleaner threads which preventing the work piece material from sticking to the cutting edges.
