During an overload, the bimetal heats up and starts to bend, rotating the magnetic trip bar and shutting off power. An IP20 rating assures you the device is safe to touch and withstands objects over 12mm. This breaker is designed for long-term electrical protection in factories, homes and offices. When it trips, fix the fault then simply reset the unit using the toggle switch.
