The Phoenix Contact FO converter with integrated optical diagnostics, alarm contact, and T-coupler with two FO interfaces. It supports RS-422/RS-485 4-wire/INTERBUS communication with a data rate detection of up to 2 Mbps. The FO converter is designed for use in zone 2 and features high-quality electrical isolation between all interfaces. It also has a floating switch contact for advance warning of critical FO paths and integrated optical diagnostics for continuous monitoring. With its intrinsically safe fiber optic interface, it can be directly connected to devices in zone 1. The FO converter is compact, easy to install, and offers reliable performance.
