The Broadcom AFBR-S20W2VI is a standard handheld spectrometer from the Qwave 2 series. It has a package size of 89.5 x 68.0 x 19.5 mm making it bigger in dimensions than the Qmini range. Offering a focal length of 75 mm with similar technical specifications that you would find in larger spectrometers. The USB spectrometer Qwave VIS presents high optical performance with a high-resolution 3648-pixel linear CCD detector in addition to a broad 350-880nm wavelength range.

This Broadcom spectroscopy product features high optical sensitivity for VIS measurements. The Qwave VIS spectrometers replaceable entrance slit means you can change this SMA adapter with any of Broadcom’s slit evaluation kit AFBR-S20SK-V2 RS 220-7149 to further increase the spectral sensitivity. It can be used for the full processing of spectra therefore spectrometry applications include Raman spectroscopy as well as analysis for environmental, forensic, and biomedical applications.

The spectrometer uses the user software WAVES which is available free to download from the Broadcom website. The software development kit (SDK) will allow you to perform various spectrum evaluation options for your spectroscopy applications.
