RS PRO Clear Passivated, Zinc Steel Pan Head Thread Forming Screw, M3 x 5 mm Long
Can't use a bolt or screw for fastening because you only have access to one side of the material? Opt for RS PRO thread forming screw. As they make their own holes, all you need to do is create a pilot hole smaller than the screw in the material, position the screw over the hole and drill into place using a screwdriver.
These screws are 5 mm long and come with M3-size threading. Case-hardened carbon-steel construction results in a tough core-build and an impact-resistant surface means the screws can be used in ductile materials like steel and aluminium. Clear passivated zinc finish helps enhance visual appeal while also ensuring superior corrosion and abrasion resistance.
The pan-head design of the screws makes them a great option for high-torque applications in metal and wood, where you could experience the problem of countersinking.
