SKF Seal, 30mm Inside Diameter, 52mm Outside Diameter - 30X52X10 HMSA10 RG

This radial shaft seal is designed to provide a sealed Interface between rotating and stationary components in mechanical and electromechanical equipment. It uses a nitrile elastomer lip and a rubber outer diameter to maintain fluid retention and exclude contaminants in systems running with oil or grease, suitable for applications where a non-contacting auxiliary lip and spring-loaded sealing are advantageous.

Features & Benefits

• Nitrile lip provides oil resistance and wear performance
• Garter spring maintains consistent contact pressure
• Rubber outside diameter enables secure housing fit
• Operates up to 100°C with short peaks to 120°C
• Permissible circumferential speed 5.77 m/s supports moderate shaft speeds

Applications

• Suitable for sealing shafts in industrial gearboxes
• Ideal for bearings in automation equipment
• Used with electric motor drives requiring oil sealing
• Can be used in servo assemblies subject to contamination

What shaft sizes will it accommodate?

It is intended for shafts with a 30mm nominal diameter.

How fast can the shaft rotate while maintaining sealing?

It is rated for rotational speeds up to 3,660 r/min.

What pressure differential can the seal tolerate?

The seal withstands a differential of 0.03 N/mm across the sealing lip.

Which materials form the sealing elements and outer body?

The sealing lip is MADE from nitrile rubber and the outside diameter is rubber with metal reinforcement.

Are misalignment and contaminated environments considered in the design?

Yes, the combination of an auxiliary non-contacting lip and a garter spring helps accommodate misalignment and improves performance in polluted environments.
