The unit can be used in many different locations as the stanchion is easily moved. Although mobile, the post is well-secured with a loaded metal base for stability, while the retractable 4 m belt is fitted with a safety brake. Its multi-reception head can hold an A4 notice display and the steel stanchion unit weighs just 11 kg, making this a portable-but-robust barrier solution.

Safety barriers are mainly intended to prevent movement or restrict access to potentially dangerous areas. Temporary barriers such as this are mostly used for sectioning off workplace areas under maintenance or repair, or for crowd control and queue management.
