RS PRO Thin Film Pt100 Resistance Temperature Detector (2 x 2.3mm)
An accurate and reliable thin film Pt100 RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) often referred to as a PRT (Platinum Resistance Thermometer) with a flat design perfect for measuring surface temperature.
The RTD temperature sensor features a low-profile build offering excellent shock and vibration resistance and the Platinum construction offers excellent response times to temperature changes and high levels of resistivity.
Suitable for surface measurement and immersion when used with the proper protection the Pt100 sensors are suitable for a wide range of applications and environments due to their excellent levels of reliability including in laboratories, air conditioning and refrigeration management, chemical processing and the automotive industry.

What is an RTD?
An RTD is a type of temperature sensor based on the correlation between metals and temperature. As the temperature of a metal increases so does the resistance to the flow of electricity. This resistance is then measured and converted to a temperature reading.
