The Vishay Reflective Optical Sensor is available in miniature SMD package. It has a compact construction where the emitting light source and the detector are arranged in the same plane. The emitter uses a vertical cavity surface emitting laser chip technology with high radiant intensity, high optical power and high speed. The operating infrared wavelength is 940 nm.
