RS PRO HSS 15.25 to 17 mm x Straight Shank Reamer Bit


You can use this straight shank reamer bit from RS PRO to widen existing holes in a range of materials. The reamer bit also lets you smooth the sides of holes, so you can ensure that the hole is the right size and finish for receiving a fastener or other component.

Thanks to the reamer bit's high-speed steel (HSS) construction, it's a durable and heat-resistant component. It has six hardened steel blades that fit into tapered keyways and expand as you adjust and reposition them along the bit's length. Screwed end caps can be used to secure the blades in the desired position.

To ensure performance and durability, the blade's material has a Hardness Rockwell C rating of HRC 62-66. Adjustable reamer bits like this one can be found in a variety of applications where existing holes must be finished to the correct size with a high degree of precision.
