RS PRO HSS 11.75 to 12.75 mm x Straight Shank Reamer Bit
This straight shank reamer bit from the RS PRO range can be used to enlarge existing holes in a range of different materials. It also lets you smooth sides of holes to ensure the hole is suitably sized and finished to receive a fastener or another component.
The reamer bit has a HSS (high-speed steel) body, meaning it's durable and robust with exceptional heat resistance. Its six hardened steel blades sit in tapered keyways and grow larger as you reposition and adjust them across the length of the bit's body. Screwed end caps keep the blades held securely in the necessary position.
You can find adjustable reamer bits of this kind used in many applications where you need to finish existing holes to the exact size with a high degree of precision. The blade material has a Hardness Rockwell C rating of HRC 62-66, ensuring efficient durability and performance.
