PTFE is commonly used for sealing in plumbing applications including; pressurised water systems, and central heating systems ensuring a tight seal. During application this grey PTFE tape resist curling during unwinding, offers high temperature and chemical resistance and provides an exceptionally smooth surface when applied.

Wrapping the wrong way may result in it coming unwound as you tighten the fitting. Do not overhang the tape;• Keep the edge of the tape parallel to the face of the fitting and wrap all the threads;• When you have wrapped enough tape around, cut or tear off the excess;• Press firmly to ensure the tape lies flat;• Tighten the male end connection into the female end connection
