Need to detect transparent labels on a clear web? This eagle-eyed proximity sensor from Telemecanique Sensors makes it simple. The transmitter side of the ultrasonic label fork emits a through-beam, which materials either reflect or absorb. A photo-electric sensor in the receiver side then analyses the light beam to find out if the label is positioned correctly, and triggers the output. This device is easy to programme using the clearly marked buttons on the side.
