Overview


The CQ capacitive proximity sensors offer a sensing range (Sn) from 1 mm to 10 mm and are designed for non-flush installation. They use DC 3-wire electrical wiring and come with a cable featuring an M8 male connector with 4 pins. The switching output can be configured as either normally closed (NC) or normally open (NO). Capacitive proximity sensors can detect all types of material: powder-based, granulated, liquid, and solid – even through plastic walls.

SICK’s capacitive proximity sensors also feature high electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), which prevents incorrect switching. The CQ sensors feature rectangular housings that are suitable for all manner of installation conditions.
