Need a reliable proximity sensor? Choose this RS PRO capacitive block type sensor to effectively detect and measure metallic and non-metallic objects without physical contact. It uses an electrical field to measure these objects, as well as the contents inside non-metal containers.
This unit is made from polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) to ensure it's strong and resistant to chemicals and heat. It has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP67, so it's protected against dust and temporary immersion in water. The sensor also has reverse polarity and short circuit overload protection, so you can be sure it's safe to use. You can adjust its sensitivity as required. You'll see sensors like this one used in storage facilities as well as in livestock breeding environments.
